News from e-malt Germany: Warsteiner looks to regain the top position in the market through acquisitions

German beer maker, Warsteiner Brauerei Haus Cramer KG, is looking to take over Jever and Erdinger breweries, company’s CEO, Albert Cramer, told German News Digest on June 5. The takeover will allow Warsteiner to retake the top position in the German beer market, the company said.

However German News Digest posted that a spokesman of Brau und Brunnen, the owner of Jever, said that they don’t intend to sell Jever brewery as “it belongs to the company’s core business group, along with the Radeberger brewery”.
